Welcome to the Sethi Lab

Our research seeks to fill information gaps for the management of aquatic ecosystems.   We work in a diversity of arenas including commercial fisheries science, marine and freshwater fisheries ecology, and statistical genetics, among others. We work across a range of temperate and tropical systems, from Alaska to the Amazon to the Philippines.

Ecosystem management encompasses both ecological and human dimensions. In addition to ecological research, we explore socioeconomic dynamics of natural resource management with a goal of identifying strategies to cope with high variability inherent in aquatic systems.

Much of our work involves applied statistics, simulation, and modeling to address research questions.  Check out our Research page for more detail.

The Sethi Lab is at the Aquatic Research and Environmental Assessment Center at Brooklyn College, City University of NY.
