November 4, 2025 — Postdoc position in fisheries acoustics at Cornell
Cooperative science opportunity between Cornell University, Brooklyn College, SUNY Brockport, and the USGS Great Lakes Science Center to advance drone-based technology and large-scale acoustics surveys. We hope to address long-standing challenges in fisheries acoustics–including addressing effort limitations, surface and bottom blind zones, and fish behavioral responses to survey vessels–by integrating autonomous drones and traditional crewed vessels. Results will advance the field of active acoustics and contribute to management of Earth’s largest freshwater ecosystems.
